Topic Tour the Waste Treatment Plant – Vit Plant
The mission is to turn nuclear waste into glass, to protect the river and ground water. The Low-Activity Waste Facility is currently in a test phase, making glass without waste. Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project – Hanford Site

Limitations
- No accommodation for foreign nationals
- Ensure personal mobility – ability to climb stairs and walk one mile
- Special badging coordination in advance is required (see below)
What to Wear
- Long pants, closed-toe shoes, 4” sleeves at a minimum.
- Personal protective gear will be provided.
