The Lower Columbia Basin Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals would like to invite you to join us for our monthly General Meeting. We look forward to you joining us.

Topic Tour the Waste Treatment Plant – Vit Plant

The mission is to turn nuclear waste into glass, to protect the river and ground water. The Low-Activity Waste Facility is currently in a test phase, making glass without waste. Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project – Hanford Site

Limitations

  • No accommodation for foreign nationals
  • Ensure personal mobility – ability to climb stairs and walk one mile
  • Special badging coordination in advance is required (see below)

What to Wear

  • Long pants, closed-toe shoes, 4” sleeves at a minimum.
  • Personal protective gear will be provided.
