Topic Electrical Safety for the Non-Electrical Worker    

Speaker Andrew Olsen

Andrew’s technical experience launched from his Navy service. He has worked in commercial nuclear, colleges, Department of Energy contractors, national laboratories, and supporting electrical utilities and local industries.

His experience includes but is not limited to: maintenance/operations/troubleshooting of industrial motors and generators, vibration analysis of industrial motors, lead-acid batteries, Li-ion battery safety, electrical safety SME/AHJ, Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional with NFPA, published by IEEE multiple times, member of and contributor to DOE’s EFCOG.

He conduct audits, develop electrical safety programs in accordance with NFPA 70E and 29CFR1910 and 1926, provide certified training, consult on electrical and arc flash issues or incidents, conduct arc flash analysis and surveys including equipment labeling, and more. He specializes in supporting power generation facilities and helping to bridge the gap from NFPA 70E to 29CFR1910.269
